Rigs of Rods (RoR) is an awesome open-source vehicle simulator utilizing soft-body physics, advanced flight models, wing airfoils, buoyancy models and a massive fan-made mod database.
Every object you spawn in the game is simulated as soft-body physics – allowing bodywork and vehicle parts to be flexible and destructible – in real-time. This feature alone makes RoR a very interesting game to play, but along with it's realistic vehicle simulation it makes for extremely addictive gameplay.
By default approximately 120 vehicles are installed with the game, but along with trailers and unsorted vehicles, about 170 objects are available. The trucks and cars available vary from the basic DAF semi truck:
To fantasy trucks which are only possible in virtual reality:
Hi all,
Apologies if the site has been unavailable/slow the last few days – I've moved the site from shared hosting to a VPS.
Reasons why:
It's over now, but if there's any problems, as usual feel free to send me an email ([email protected])
To support the site, I've added adverts. They might look ugly at times, however I'll try and work them into the theme as much as possible, so they're noticeable, but not distracting.
The other day, I opened my network drive to the site, and noticed that all the files were organised by their filetype. I'd never seen this before but it really confused me – but I found the fix.
Just a quick update:
Right now I'm setting up WordPress and installing all the required plugins and extras to make the blog brilliant. Right now there may be issues with the way things look or work, but remember to email them to [email protected], so we can get them dealt with quickly and efficiently.
If anything breaks, don't worry, as we should already know about it, but feel free to let us know.
The old site finally got too useless, and I made the decision to change to WordPress.
I’ll be writing more articles (a lot more on computing and tutorials), and this site will be merged with the blog to make things easier.
If there are still problems with the way the site looks, please emailĀ [email protected] and tell us all about it!
